EXCELLENT Based on 332 reviews Posted on SuzanneJane17 March 2026Verified See some more of the island! Our half-day tour to Lindos was just what I was looking for. It was great to get out of Rhodes City for awhile and be around the olive trees and forests. Lindos was beautiful as expected, and was extra great because our guide Nicholas made sure we got ahead of a big tour bus we saw heading the same way. We had the acropolis nearly all to ourselves for at least half an hour, which was fantastic. We mixed our tour with what they typically offer and cut a couple things and added another stop we were interested in, and Nicholas knew just the best way to do it. He's very knowledgeable and fun and passionate about Rhodes - just what you want in a guide. We learned a lot and had a great time.Posted on Julie_from_MI9 February 2026Verified Rhodes to Lindos from a cruise ship. Our driver, Vasilis, met us at the ship and took us on a 5 hour tour of Rhodes in an S Class Mercedes. His English was excellent as he told us about the history of Rhodes and what life in Rhodes is currently like. We stopped at many beautiful spots for photos. We went to the Acropolis of Lindos. We asked to be dropped off at a local restaurant before returning to the cruise ship.Posted on Denvertraveler523 January 2026Verified Nicholas saved the day! Our tour guide Nichollas was amazing! Traveling in Rhodes in January is definitely the off-season. We were having a hard time finding a guide to take us to Lindos until we found Nicholas. It was the best thing we could’ve done. He not only took us to Lindos, but also took us to several other historic places and an out-of-the-way shrine that we would’ve never found ourselves. Plus he called a ceramic store to see if we could stop and watch how ceramics were made. He was closed but let us come watch and buy a beautiful plate. Stopped at a fruit stand had a most delicious orange Thanks to Nichollas. He really made our trip.Posted on janiewa25 October 2025Verified A Wonderful Island Tour Our guide, Christopher, provided an excellent tour of Rhodes. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We particularly appreciated that he was flexible in customizing the tour to our preferences. My husband has mobility issues and Christopher was very accommodating and helpful. We also appreciated the clear communication before the tour so that we knew exactly where and how we would be met. Rhodes is a lovely island and I would absolutely recommend this tour and guide for a most enjoyable experience.Posted on KevWiz19 September 2025Verified Top trip Requested a custom tour as we have visited Rhodes before. Got a prompt response from Ellie and after a few emails the trip was arranged. Picked up by Aga at our hotel we had a most enjoyable and informative seven hour tour. Aga was great company and very knowledgeable, providing excellent counsel on our best options. He topped it all with an excellent recommendation for lunch. A local fish taverna on the sea front with a beautiful outlook , lovely food and excellent hospitality. Thoroughly recommend and would definitely use againPosted on Rudy R16 August 2025Verified Best Rhodes private tour. Aga was an awesome tour guide. He definitely knows the history and the importance of all the different things and places we’ve visited. He made sure we were comfortable and was very attentive to our needs and wants. He took us to all the turista places and also some hidden gems 💎 that were not on the maps or schedules. Definitely recommend taking a tour with him to see and experience the best of Rhodes has to offer.Posted on Angela C16 August 2025Verified Great trip This was great experience! Our driver Ava met us early morning at the port and we drove first to see the highlights of Rhodes . We stopped for a fantastic panoramic view where we made some great photos. After we drove towards the absolutely amazing village of Lindos. We love old town. A great experience and fantastic company if you are looking for a private shore excursion in RhodesPosted on Amy_and_Jeremy2 August 2025Verified Unforgetable experience We had an amazing day touring the Island in a luxury air-conditioned van. Our driver/tour guide help us craft the perfect itinerary with stops all over the Island. His knowledge of anything local including the Island's history, made this trip especially memorable. We also enjoyed visiting two seperate wineries and enjoyed tastings. Both wineries were family operations and offered a very generous array of samples, including food. I can't recommend this company enough. We loved our day.Posted on Karl Bulli24 May 2025Verified Wonderful Rhodes Thank you for the wonderful trip through Rhodes and compliments to the friendly, very competent driver. What a beautiful day!Posted on Karen A23 May 2025Verified Great driver and tour! Although the communications at the start of my enquiries were a little confusing, Ellie always answered my questions quickly and assured me that the trip was booked even though no funds passed hands prior to the tour. Niko, our driver, was fantastic! He told us a lot about the island and the attractions we were going to see and left us off as close as possible to the path for the Lindos Acropolis, our primary destination. He also made sure we went to the Acropolis first thing in the morning in order to avoid the group tour crowds that we ended up passing as we returned to the car mid-morning. We also managed to go by several other attractions despite needing to go from one side of the island to the other. I highly recommend Rhodes Taxi Tours for informative, reliable private tours of Rhodes, and I especially recommend Niko as the driver!

Rhodes has a long history of pottery going back many centuries at least to the time of the ancient cities. Replicas of designs produced in those times are still been manufactured today together with new modern designs in a younger generation. Vivid colors, especially blue, feature strongly as do certain motifs that are uniquely Rodian, the pomegranate flower and the stylized deer.
The island has many ceramic factories selling directly to the public hand-painted pottery, typically vases, plates, and ashtrays. We can also arrange a small demonstration of the process of creating beautiful ceramics – a technique that is used from ancient times till now.
On Rhodes, there are plenty of jewelry shops. Jewelry always seems to be a hot item for tourists visiting Greece. Rhodes has great gold and silver jewelry and the standard of workmanship is extremely high. The goldsmiths of Rhodes are well-known with their creations of silver, gold and precious stones. Silver lace designs with Byzantine influences and gold work is very popular here. Many items have distinctive patterns with deer and crusader insignia, and you’ll also see pieces with a funky modern twist. Greece has at least 3000 years of manufacturing unique and skillful handicraft gold jewelry.
If you look around it’s nearly impossible not to find a piece you’d like to own.
The Rhodes market is extremely rich when it comes to clothes, top leather goods, and furs. In numerous shops, you can order the items of your choice, made of your favorite leather or fur, in modern designs. Do check out the fur and leather shops also for ready-made clothes The dozens of fancy shops and boutiques ensure that all your wishes and dreams will be satisfied.
You should also consider a relaxing stop at an outstanding traditional Greek tavern to enjoy a fabulous lunch and excellent wines. We can also arrange a visit to a spectacular seaside tavern near the sea so that you can combine your lunch with some beach time.
Winery in Rodos follows a tradition of 2,400 years!
Embona is a small village and it is considered the wine capital of the island. It may not have any picturesque architectural features; however, it is one of the most popular suggestions for a trip inland in Rhodes that combines folklore, a lively atmosphere, and good food. Here you will be able to stop and taste a big variety of fresh wines at different wine factories. At each stop, you may be also given small portions of appetizers to complement your taste of the wine – olives, cheese and home-baked bread from the region.
The wine tasting is absolutely free and you aren’t obliged to purchase anything. Of course, a bottle of wine will be a wonderful souvenir from Rhodes, or maybe a bottle of original olive oil with no conservatives, or just a small bag of mountain herbs for your tea in the winter. All products are fully natural and with origin from this gorgeous mountain village.
Nothing is more characteristic in Rhodes than the olive trees that grow in the valleys and mountainous areas in Rhodes.
A large number of residents and professional companies produce several tons in Rhodes, cultivated mainly in the East of the island towards the South. Top-quality olive oil is the main ingredient for the high standard of the Mediterranean Diet.
We can arrange a stop to try and taste this local treasure and take some bottles back home.
Wonderful time in Rhodes
My husband Tom and I had a great driver by the name of Nicholas. Nicholas was very informative, friendly, caring and catered to our every need. Our day in Rhodes was beautiful, we visited many sites, had great food by the sea, tasted delicious olive oil, honey and wine. Our time went by way to fast. We really enjoyed the company of Nicholas. We hope to come back to Rhodes and look him up again. Thank you again for a wonderful time. SIncerely, Tom and Carol from Lake Villa, IL USA
Amazing, beautiful, informative private tour – you won’t regret it!
I took my Mom from Israel to Rhodes as a 70th birthday present. We booked this private tour since my Mom has mobility issues and uses a walker. Our driver, Nikos, picked us up from our hotel and we spent the next 7 hours or so with him. He was very warm, friendly, funny, kind, knowledgeable with very good English. We felt very comfortable asking him questions about Greek life. He was very solicitous of my Mom and her ability to get around easily and up and down stairs with his help, taking her walker in and out of his car when she needed it. My Mom wanted to buy jewelry so he took us to a jewelry factory/showroom that was WOW. Only a local would know about it. Ditto the taverna he took us to for lunch towards the end of our day. It was hidden away at the side of the road. If you didn’t know it was there and worth a stop, you’d drive right by it. He also stopped off at a place that sold many types/flavors of olive oil and olive oil products and another ceramics/pottery workshop with very beautiful things. And of course a stop in the famous, beautiful Lindos town which is a MUST. I also have to say that my communications via email with the booking office were very detailed, informative, prompt and accurate. I cannot say enough good things about this tour.
Excellent Faultless Service
I looked at various options as to how to take in the sites in and around Rhodes and am delighted that I choose this option; the service from start to finish was fantastic from the email exchanges with Maria to the driver on the day, Nicholas who was brilliant. We were picked up directly from our hotel in a beautiful top of the range Mercedes in the morning and driven to Rhodes old town, through which our driver was able to drive through as there is some access for cars before 9 o’clock.
Nicholas was very knowledgeable and his English was excellent. After the tour of the old town we then took in various other sites in the Rhodes area before travelling to Lindos via a fantastic shop which sold excellent olive oil, olives etc.
Our tour was a 5 hour tour and we saw more than we had anticipated thanks to the efficiency and knowledge of the driver Nicholas. We arrived back at the hotel by 1.30 and therefore had the rest of the day to enjoy at our leisure. I spoke to others at our hotel who went on a bus tour which took all day to only cover some of the sites that we took in, in 5 hours and although cheaper, there’s was not enjoyable as ours.
I am aware that this company can tailor various tours to your needs and I have no hesitation in recommending this company – although a bit dearer than bus tours it is def worth it.
I can not praise our driver Nicholas high enough and he is an asset to the company and a great Ambassador for Rhodes.

BEAUTIFUL SIGHTS; GREAT SHOPPING; WONDERFUL GUIDE
Our guide Aga was exceptional. He explained the history but gave us plenty of time to shop and enjoy the people and their culture.
Best of the Best in Rhodes with Michael and Constantine
What an amazing one day in beautiful Rhodes. Our group of 6 required two cars so Michael and Constantine picked us up at ship side of the port. We only had to walk a few yards to find them. The girls went with Michael and guys with Constantine.
They were very personable and knowledgeable. Our first stop was Old Town Rhodes where we were able to view the Street of Knights and other sights. From there we drove to the Mandraki harbor. The Monastery there is beautiful. Then we drove by the Acropolis and Monthe Smith Hill. These were great places for photo ops. Our favorite part of the tour was leaving the city for Lindos. Michael and Constantine took the back roads through the countryside through the farmland to Lindos. They stopped to pick us oranges from the trees to eat and I took photos of a local greek farmers geraniums that were gorgeous. We visited St. Paul’s Bay and saw the small chapel of St. Paul then visited Anthony Quinn Beach. It was all so beautiful. We had such a fun day and to top it off they took us to a small village on a beach for a delicious lunch. Of course, we had a greek salad and shrimp cocktail. The owner treated us to desert of homemade baklava and ice cream. The restaurant had a small gift shop where we did some last minute souvenir shopping. We returned to the ship extremely satisfied with our tour.
I highly recommend Rhodes Taxi Tours with Michael and Constantine.
