This tour combines 1 hour Rhodes private city tour plus leisurely time at a beach of your choice. If you are interested you may extend your tour to a full day and visit also the traditional white village of Lindos.
Our private day tour will start from the Old Town, the Mandraki harbour together with the area where the Colossus of Rhodes once stood. Then we will visit the ancient Acropolis of Rhodes. The rest of the time you will spend at a beach of your choice and at the end we will return you back to your starting point.

Your driver will meet you at the reception desk of your hotel or if you are coming on a cruise – at the pier, at the correct dock, with a sign on the car showing your name. We are licensed to get into the dockside and the car will be waiting for you just outside your ship.
We give you the opportunity to choose on your own the beach you want to visit and the time you want to spend there. There is also a possibility to include more than one beach in your tour. We are very flexible to any change that you might want!
A visit to the beautiful white village of Lindos can also be included
Rhodes Beach Tour + Lindos Village – duration 7 hours
We will start our tour with a drive around the walls of the Old Town of Rhodes – the biggest inhabited medieval town in Europe. It was built in 1300s from the knights of the order of St. John. The Medieval Town of Rhodes is inscribed in the World Heritage Sites List of UNESCO. This list recognizes the exceptional value of a cultural site so that it may be protected for the benefit of all Humanity.
If you want we can extend the duration of the tour with 1 hour and you can have also some free time to go through the Old town and explore it on your own.
Mandraki port is situated in the new part of the town where you will see some very impressive monumental buildings built by the Italians. Here at the harbor entrance is believed that once stood the great statue of the Colossus of Rhodes – one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. We will stop for pictures of the area and you will be able also to enter and see the Church of the Annunciation which is the biggest Orthodox church in the town with very beautiful handmade paintings on the walls and spectacular chandeliers.
The Colossus of Rhodes was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the most ambitious and tallest statue( between 30 to 33 meters high) of the Hellenistic period. The statue was a depiction of the Greek Titan Helios and was meant to celebrate the victory over the Dimitrios the Besieger (ruler of Cyprus) in 305 BC. Bearing a striking resemblance to the Statue of Liberty in the United States, the Colossus of Rhodes stood for no more than 56 years when a strong earthquake destroyed it. In the seventh century A.D., the Arabs conquered Rhodes and broke the remains of the Colossus up into smaller pieces and sold it as scrap metal. Legend says it took 900 camels to carry away the pieces. A sad end for what must have been a majestic work of art.
Now we will continue through the city and see more of the great Italian architecture. We will stop for pictures also at the Northen tip of the island where the Mediterranean and the Aegean seas meet each other. Then we will drive to Monthe Smith Hill where you can enjoy exceptional panoramic views of the city and the seashore, and also visit the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the impressive open-air ancient Stadium and the Amphitheatre.
Now leaving behind the city of Rhodes we can continue towards the beach. We do know that every our client is unique and has different preferences so we give you the opportunity to choose a beach on your own. You can spend the rest of the time to enjoy the soft, white sand or swim in the sparkling blue water at some of the beautiful beaches that Rhodes has to offer.

Tsambika is one of the most beautiful beaches in Rhodes.
The 800 metres long and very wide beach has fine golden sand and only a few pebbles. The turquoise water is shallow and crystal clear.
Facilities at the beach include sun beds, umbrellas, several restaurants and a mini-market.
Plenty of space for playing and shallow water make Tsambika beach very suitable for children of all ages.
The 4 kilometres long sandy beach in Faliraki is definitely one of the most popular beaches in Rhodes.

Here you can find anything you can possibly ask for – water sports, cafeterias, night clubs, restaurants, bungee-jumping, places for shopping and more.
Natural stone surfaces ideal for reclining under the sun, pine trees reaching down to the water’s edge, emerald green water – Anthony Quinn certainly showed impeccable taste when he fell in love with this miniature bay. The beach is known today by the actor’s name since he bought this part of the island when filming “The Guns of Navarone” here.

The picturesque beach is very popular and tends to get crowded in the summer months, especially in July and August. It is ideal for those who love scuba diving.
It’s a small rocky bay so beach shoes are advisable but there is also a shallow area which is good for kids or you can swim in the bay itself.
Nichola’s beach is a perfect place for a swim with its deep blue waters. It will make you feel like there is nobody else in the world – just you and the sea!

Fantastic beach day
We booked a half day beach tour that include a quick trip through Rhodes. It was delightful. Our guide, Aga, was courteous, professional, and gracious. A Rhodes native, he shared his city proudly. He took us to a wonderful, non-touristy beach with comfy and affordable sun beds, wifi, and a nearby restaurant. It was a perfect day. Highly recommend!
Great time in Rhodes with 2 informative and fun drivers
We booked this tour the day before on the cruise and we glad we did. There were 8 of us, so we booked two taxis which worked out great. Kostis was our driver and he was great fun with our 14 year old daughter, “Everything in moderation” he taught her. We saw some good sights but the highlight was the stopover at a small beach where we had lunch. Kostis even took my brother for a haircut at his own hairdresser while we had a wonderful swim in the Mediterranean. We met Nikos (who is the owner of the company) at the pottery factory and I could tell he was very proud to provide a high level of service. They are obviously very switched on to the wishes of their customers and were a pleasure to deal with. Rhodes Taxi Tours made our visit to Rhodes one of the best of our cruise stopovers.
