EXCELLENT Based on 332 reviews Posted on SuzanneJane17 March 2026Verified See some more of the island! Our half-day tour to Lindos was just what I was looking for. It was great to get out of Rhodes City for awhile and be around the olive trees and forests. Lindos was beautiful as expected, and was extra great because our guide Nicholas made sure we got ahead of a big tour bus we saw heading the same way. We had the acropolis nearly all to ourselves for at least half an hour, which was fantastic. We mixed our tour with what they typically offer and cut a couple things and added another stop we were interested in, and Nicholas knew just the best way to do it. He's very knowledgeable and fun and passionate about Rhodes - just what you want in a guide. We learned a lot and had a great time.Posted on Julie_from_MI9 February 2026Verified Rhodes to Lindos from a cruise ship. Our driver, Vasilis, met us at the ship and took us on a 5 hour tour of Rhodes in an S Class Mercedes. His English was excellent as he told us about the history of Rhodes and what life in Rhodes is currently like. We stopped at many beautiful spots for photos. We went to the Acropolis of Lindos. We asked to be dropped off at a local restaurant before returning to the cruise ship.Posted on Denvertraveler523 January 2026Verified Nicholas saved the day! Our tour guide Nichollas was amazing! Traveling in Rhodes in January is definitely the off-season. We were having a hard time finding a guide to take us to Lindos until we found Nicholas. It was the best thing we could’ve done. He not only took us to Lindos, but also took us to several other historic places and an out-of-the-way shrine that we would’ve never found ourselves. Plus he called a ceramic store to see if we could stop and watch how ceramics were made. He was closed but let us come watch and buy a beautiful plate. Stopped at a fruit stand had a most delicious orange Thanks to Nichollas. He really made our trip.Posted on janiewa25 October 2025Verified A Wonderful Island Tour Our guide, Christopher, provided an excellent tour of Rhodes. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We particularly appreciated that he was flexible in customizing the tour to our preferences. My husband has mobility issues and Christopher was very accommodating and helpful. We also appreciated the clear communication before the tour so that we knew exactly where and how we would be met. Rhodes is a lovely island and I would absolutely recommend this tour and guide for a most enjoyable experience.Posted on KevWiz19 September 2025Verified Top trip Requested a custom tour as we have visited Rhodes before. Got a prompt response from Ellie and after a few emails the trip was arranged. Picked up by Aga at our hotel we had a most enjoyable and informative seven hour tour. Aga was great company and very knowledgeable, providing excellent counsel on our best options. He topped it all with an excellent recommendation for lunch. A local fish taverna on the sea front with a beautiful outlook , lovely food and excellent hospitality. Thoroughly recommend and would definitely use againPosted on Rudy R16 August 2025Verified Best Rhodes private tour. Aga was an awesome tour guide. He definitely knows the history and the importance of all the different things and places we’ve visited. He made sure we were comfortable and was very attentive to our needs and wants. He took us to all the turista places and also some hidden gems 💎 that were not on the maps or schedules. Definitely recommend taking a tour with him to see and experience the best of Rhodes has to offer.Posted on Angela C16 August 2025Verified Great trip This was great experience! Our driver Ava met us early morning at the port and we drove first to see the highlights of Rhodes . We stopped for a fantastic panoramic view where we made some great photos. After we drove towards the absolutely amazing village of Lindos. We love old town. A great experience and fantastic company if you are looking for a private shore excursion in RhodesPosted on Amy_and_Jeremy2 August 2025Verified Unforgetable experience We had an amazing day touring the Island in a luxury air-conditioned van. Our driver/tour guide help us craft the perfect itinerary with stops all over the Island. His knowledge of anything local including the Island's history, made this trip especially memorable. We also enjoyed visiting two seperate wineries and enjoyed tastings. Both wineries were family operations and offered a very generous array of samples, including food. I can't recommend this company enough. We loved our day.Posted on Karl Bulli24 May 2025Verified Wonderful Rhodes Thank you for the wonderful trip through Rhodes and compliments to the friendly, very competent driver. What a beautiful day!Posted on Karen A23 May 2025Verified Great driver and tour! Although the communications at the start of my enquiries were a little confusing, Ellie always answered my questions quickly and assured me that the trip was booked even though no funds passed hands prior to the tour. Niko, our driver, was fantastic! He told us a lot about the island and the attractions we were going to see and left us off as close as possible to the path for the Lindos Acropolis, our primary destination. He also made sure we went to the Acropolis first thing in the morning in order to avoid the group tour crowds that we ended up passing as we returned to the car mid-morning. We also managed to go by several other attractions despite needing to go from one side of the island to the other. I highly recommend Rhodes Taxi Tours for informative, reliable private tours of Rhodes, and I especially recommend Niko as the driver!

This family-friendly adventure brings the feeling of stepping into antiquity mixed with extra fun activities. You will be able to spend some time with your family and escape for a day from the hot summer sun on the beach.
Our private tour will start from the Old Town, the Mandraki harbour together with the area where the Colossus of Rhodes once stood. Now we will visit the Aquarium of Rhodes and then the ancient Acropolis of Rhodes. From there we will continue on the West Coast of the island and our first stop is the beautiful Fillerimos Hill (Butterfly Valley-upon request for the summer months). Next we will visit the Rhodes Ostrich & Zoo farm. At the end we will return back to your starting point.
5 hours
From May till October
We can start at any time which is convenient for your group
Your driver will meet you at the reception desk of your hotel or if you are coming on a cruise – at the pier, at the correct dock, with a sign on the car showing your name. We are licensed to get into the dockside and the car will be waiting for you just outside your ship.
For the period between 15th June and 25th Sept we can substitute the stop at Filerimos Hill with a stop to the Butterfly Valley. If you would like to see both sights we will need to extend the total duration of the tour.
We can easily add also an extra hour for lunch at an outstanding traditional Greek tavern. We can arrange a visit also to a spectacular seaside tavern near the sea so that you can enjoy a fabulous lunch and feel the sea breeze. Our drivers are very flexible to any change that you might want even during the tour itself.
Rhodes Family Tour AND Butterfly Valley – duration 6 and a half hours
Rhodes Family Tour AND Lunch time – duration 6 and a half hours
We will start our tour with a drive around the walls of the Old Town of Rhodes – the biggest inhabited medieval town in Europe. It was built in 1300s from the knights of the order of St. John. The Medieval Town of Rhodes is inscribed in the World Heritage Sites List of UNESCO. This list recognizes the exceptional value of a cultural site so that it may be protected for the benefit of all Humanity.
If you want we can extend the duration of the tour with 1 hour and you can have also some free time to go through the Old town and explore it on your own.
Mandraki port is situated in the new part of the town where you will see some very impressive monumental buildings built by the Italians. Here at the harbor entrance is believed that once stood the great statue of the Colossus of Rhodes – one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. We will stop for pictures of the area and you will be able also to enter and see the Church of the Annunciation which is the biggest Orthodox church in the town with very beautiful handmade paintings on the walls and spectacular chandeliers.
The Colossus of Rhodes was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the most ambitious and tallest statue( between 30 to 33 meters high) of the Hellenistic period. The statue was a depiction of the Greek Titan Helios and was meant to celebrate the victory over the Dimitrios the Besieger (ruler of Cyprus) in 305 BC. Bearing a striking resemblance to the Statue of Liberty in the United States, the Colossus of Rhodes stood for no more than 56 years when a strong earthquake destroyed it. In the seventh century A.D., the Arabs conquered Rhodes and broke the remains of the Colossus up into smaller pieces and sold it as scrap metal. Legend says it took 900 camels to carry away the pieces. A sad end for what must have been a majestic work of art.
Our next stop will be the Aquarium of Rhodes which is located at the northernmost tip of the Island, a few steps from the city center. It is one of the most important marine research centers in Greece. The original building was constructed in 1935. In the underground aquarium, the visitor can see many of the species living in the Aegean Sea. The original interior of the Aquarium is decorated with porous rocks and natural seashells, in order to create the impression of an underwater cave.
Children love the Marine Aquarium on Rhodes Island, enamored by its diverse range of live Eastern Mediterranean specimens including sea flowers, turtles, octopuses and strange-looking decapods (crustaceans with 10 limbs). Although it is not as big as many modern aquariums, the aquarium creates an underwater atmosphere that captivates visitors of all ages and the air conditioning ensures that it is a cool and refreshing place to be, especially on a hot summer day.
Now we will continue through the city and see more of the great Italian architecture. We will stop for pictures also at the Northen tip of the island where the Mediterranean and the Aegean seas meet each other. Then we will drive to Monthe Smith Hill where you can enjoy exceptional panoramic views of the city and the seashore, and also visit the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the impressive open-air ancient Stadium and the Amphitheatre.
Next in our program is the famous Filerimos Hill. This place was used as the citadel of the ancient town of Ialyssos. The hill includes the foundations of the temple of Athena Polias, an Early Christian basilica, and a small subterranean Byzantine church. There is a road that sets off from the square that leads to the westernmost point of the hill. The road to Golgotha used by Catholics was dotted with holy icon-stands and bronze reliefs. At the end of the road of Martyrdom stands an 18 meters tall cross raised by the Italians in 1930.
For the Summer period between the end of June and mid-September, we can substitute the stop at Filerimos Hill with the beautiful Valley of Butterflies. The valley is a natural reserve, unique of its kind. You can enjoy a peaceful walk and admire the nature and the butterflies. Your driver will wait for you on the other side of the park. If you want to see both Filerimos Hill and the Butterfly Valley than we need to increase the duration of the tour.
The next stop will be at “Rhodes Ostrich Farm” and Zoo farm. Take a relaxing walk in nature, visit the animals and maybe take a pony ride. Meet the largest living species of bird. Ostriches are swift – running African birds and the height of the males is about 2,5 meters (!). Ostriches, ponies, llamas, exotic pets and much much more wait for you to visit them! Come closer and watch them eating, running, sleeping and playing. Come closer and feed them, touch them and take a photo!
We will return back to the city of Rhodes and we can leave you directly to your hotel or ship or at any point of interest
Amazing Service/Guide Rhodes Tour including Medieval City & Lindos
In early June, our family of four, 2 adults and 2 teen boys, arrived via RCCL cruise ship in Rhodes. Upon arrival at the dock we were greeted by Dominick with a warm welcome and quickly got comfortable in a nicely appointed Mercedes sedan with plenty of room, A/C and cold water if needed. A Rhodes native, Dominick, was first class all the way! He not only knew his way around the the island of Rhodes, but he also provided rich history and cultural insights, as well as great dining recommendations. We had an amazing lunch on the water at Argo. We visited all of the great sites of Rhodes including Lindos. Dominick knew where to go, when to get there, and picked us up/dropped us off exactly where was most convenient. He made our Rhodes visit meaningful by entertaining all of our questions and adeptly guiding us through the history of this amazing Greek island. We highly recommend Rhodes Taxi Tours, and specifically Dominick! We will definitely call upon Rhodes Taxi Tours when we have the opportunity to return to Greece.
Great FAMILY tour and Nikos was magnificent!
We travelled to Rhodes with our 2 young children (3&5) who both got ill while there (not due to any food issues) so had limited time to see the island. We decided to hire Rhodes taxi tours so we could see as much of the Island while understanding a bit about the history of it as a family.
We were picked up from our hotel at 8.15am by Nikos, our driver for the day. He was absolutely fantastic. He made the day with his exquisite knowledge of the history of Rhodes, his great personality and his accomodating of our 2 young children.
We thoroughly enjoyed the 6 hour tour and learnt a lot more about Rhodes in this time than we would have, if we had done the sight seeing on our own.
We would recommend Rhodes Taxi Tours and would highly recommend requesting Nikos as your driver for the day!
Enjoy!
The Perfect Tour Company
Our family had a 4 hour private tour and from beginning to end it was superb service. Our tour guide (forgive me for not remembering his name) was so knowledgeable. We were given the history of the island as well as taken to some of the most beautiful spots the island has to offer. It was worth every penny and I would do it all over again. I recommend them 100% They even provided my family with taxi service at 4am for our flight back to Athens.
We were so lucky!
Nicholas was an amazing tour guide. He was well versed on the island as his family has been there for a long time. His English was wonderful, and his formal dress was so professional. We hit it off and even met his lovey family at the end of the tour. His beautiful wife presented us with a bottle of olive oil which they harvested themselves!
We spent two weeks in Greece, and this was definitely one of the great highlights. Call on him….you will be happy you did!
Half day tour of Rhodes
Our family of 7 had an excellent tour of Rhodes with Nikitas and Christos. We very much enjoyed seeing Rhodes Old Town and driving in the countryside in the air-conditioned vehicles. Christos was very kind to my husband who is not well; he watched over him while I went out to take photos. Thank you to you both! The view of Rhodes on the hilltop was well worth seeing!
